One day, I hope I will look back on this poem and consider it prophetic.
But for now, I suppose it is more like a dream - of an enchanted summer, and of a kind of love that requires no special activity nor end destination . . . because, sometimes, our most perfect moments come when we are content to simply be where we are.
Let me capture this moment in Impressionist light; with your white dress, and flowers in your hair. Nothing else could be lovelier than these flawless summer skies when we're a long way from anywhere
In fields of forest green we stray into a dream; But we're safe here in this fresh, fragrant air. No-one else knows this path, dear; And nothing can harm us - We're a long way from anywhere * Rest your head on my shoulder and if we must - we'll grow older; But still love more than any mortal would dare. The world has it's fears but they can't touch us here; We're a long way from anywhere
So walk with me, darling Through all valleys and shadows, And hold me closer if you should ever feel scared. We have love on our side, And time on our hands, And we're a long way from anywhere. * I have seen the sublime, and known beauty divine; But next to you, my love Nothing compares I could stay like this forever and never care for the time, Because we're a long way from anywhere * And if there happens to be a heaven above us, Rest assured it will answer all our prayers. But for now, it's our fate To hope and to wait We're still a long way from anywhere.
A long way from any where is some where to be especially if you are with the one you love and a place where you find yourself to be free.
Very touching sensitive and quite timeless.
