No behind, dear and no before We need nothing less and we need nothing more. This world is a place made for us to explore Until we reach the other shore.
Life begins on the banks of a great river when we wade into these crystalline waters and are swept away by a wandering current. Sometimes, this current is so gentle. . . drawing us down stream quite pleasantly and allowing us to marvel at all the scenery. Other times, the current is harsh and unforgiving; with tempestuous waves, and icy fingers, which leave us battling furiously just to stay afloat. But in all cases, this is the fate we have been given; To be eternally swept down steam carried by waters that are beyond our control until, at last, we take it upon ourselves to cross this great river and to reach the other shore.
Now, of course - the conditions for this crossing can vary too. For some, their meeting with the other shore happens quite spontaneously as if by accident. For others, it comes through careful planning or rigorous training or building a boat, and learning exactly how to work with the winds. And for most of us; the journey may well be a matter of struggle; as we fight this relentless tide and brave the burning cold and battle for every last breath. Yet still - we must take comfort in the knowledge that no effort is wasted here. _ Sadly, the other shore cannot uproot itself in order to come looking for us. But at the vanishing point of every horizon, and in the silence between our every thought, and in the space where shadows merge with light - you will find it. That sanctuary for all weary travellers. A place this not just beyond life - but beyond death too.
