The flame of one candle is not diminished at all by using it to light another.
In fact, as long as there is sufficient fuel, a single candle can share it’s flame hundreds or thousands of times - lighting everything from a tiny flicker, to a blazing inferno, without ever suffering any kind of personal lack as a result.
And this kind of thing can also be true for us too.
When we share with others, in the form of the lessons we have learned, or the art we have created . . . we do not somehow “lose” our knowledge, or “give up” our own creative insight.
Quite the opposite, actually - because in passing on what we have learned, we often learn even more . . .much like how the candle that passes it’s flame to a neighbour, will also benefit from a little more heat in return.
And the very least, this act of sharing what we know - or, even more so, in sharing how we feel - offers us a unique insight into unlimited wealth.
Because where else can we give so freely, without ever feeling a sense of loss or lack?
When we are so often limited - and, indeed, rather imprisoned - by such things as time, money, or physical possessions . . . doesn’t it seem somehow sacred that we are able to share something so unconditionally with our ideas on a page, or our emotions in a work of art?

Why do you wish to receive
when it is better to give?
Be nothing first . . .
then you will live!
Until you are nothing
you cannot see
a grain of sand
or eternity
